Heroes:

Webber - That is fightback of the year. 18th, no KERS, electronics glitches... ...I assumed he'd finish 12th at best, trapped behind a Toro Rosso (this was when I thought Toro Rosso would be some good). Then he seemed to pick the worst possible strategy. Then he fought through, made the apparent vice of a strategy a virtue, did some great overtaking and ended up 1.5 seconds ahead of the team-mate who'd had an easy time of it all race!

di Resta - one front-left tyre away from a third consecutive points score. Well fought.

Karthikeyan - for doing a 1-stop strategy and nearly making it work (only overtaken by Liuzzi, who is realistically his only rival, on the final lap).

Zeroes:

Pérez - it takes a pretty bad race to cause two crashes in the space of four laps (against Heidfeld and Sutil). I consider you lucky you only received one penalty for your misdemeanours.

Button - your guys are grey, not blue. Though they might have felt blue after you parked in the wrong garage.

Toro Rosso - for the wheel that came off Alguersuari's car.

Wizzo and I had fun in the chat room ALL BY OURSELVES (ok, Ian was there for the first bit).  Don't worry, we didn't spend the whole time talking about the rest of you...  :P :P

You were? I was logged into the chatroom for the whole post-race forum and there was nobody visible there!

I had to leave right after the checker flag...not sure if Wizzo stuck around.

Webber put in the drive of the season. Doubt we will see anything like that the rest of the year. How long can Red Bull continue to hold him back? He and Vettel need to swap crews like they do in NASCAR. Hamilton showed good sense in holding back a set of softs during qually, then using them to max advantage during the race. I think you will see more and more teams doing single runs in Q3. Under the current rules qualifying is no longer as important as last year. Kudos to Pirelli, I think they have done an excellent job of  giving the FIA just what they asked for, when I am sure they could provide much better tires left on their own.

Make sure you have an uninterrupted viewing when you do sit down to watch the race Wats-on. It was a real humdinger and the action stretches from the start to the end with hardly a dull moment in the whole race, normally there is a least one flat period in a race but not this time  :swoon:   - enjoy!  :good:

Well, unfortunately I don\t have the time, so I have to see lap 27 twice - to get in the story again. I stopped at 27, so rewinded and start there again tomorrow morning.

I loved the fight between the STRs and between Alonso and Schumacher! Alonso uninspired this race? How? I think it was a good fight.

WTF was wrong with Heidfeld? He got himself nailed like a rookie every time again. That's not my Quick Nick...

Tormorow morning I'll finish the race...

Hey Wats on you have to make time to watch every race man. I'm a family man too with two young kids and I would miss a second of quli or the race any given weekend. I gave up fishing instead.  ;)
