Brundel & DC - Best commentators ever
« on: April 17, 2011, 05:32:15 PM »
If you aren't fortunate enough to get the BBC feed with these two you are missing out on the most informed F1 commentating team ever. Some of the comments from the Chinese GP had me in stitches too.

When Alonso was trying to get around MS, Martin asked DC about the art of trying to pass MS when he was driving and DC responded:

"You've got to treat the silver baron as the rear legs of a donkey"
 :DD :DD :DD

Brundle on the grip problems someone was having:

"he looks like he's got all the grip of oiled oak!"

Brundle when Button pulled into the RB pit:

"Fill it up and clean the screen will ya 'guv"

Kimi's back! Future double WDC.

What about "Every car is fighting with every other car" ...or something like that.  Wizzo and I had a chuckle about that one in chat.

They are doing a great job together, certainly it is the most interesting and amusing commentary I've heard in F1 for a long time.  They don't talk at cross purposes like JL did with Martin.  Really enjoying it and they seem as excited commentating as we feel watching the racing at the moment!

Agreed...and DC is getting better at it with every race. At first is was all Martin but now its much better.

They do make a great team, and it's excellent to have to racers on the com. DC is very witty.  :good:

When Button had the warning "Webber is catching and he is going to attack you" DC said That message could only have been worse if it was delivered in the dark.
It even made MB laugh.
First class. :good: :DD

Witty, funny and professional all the way. Even back in his driving days you could tell he was a natural on-air talent as demonstrated in this clip.

That was quality  :DD, loving the fact it's like listening to 2 mates taking about F1. Much more informal in many ways and actually worth listening to as much as watching the races. :good:
