That's the first I've seen of a GT-40 roadster since their racing days. I think that one is based on the GT-40 Mk II.

I have found a number of different ideas on how many were built, 4 seems to be the best guess. Ford was said to be curious why Ferrari seemed to prefer the spyder over the coupe. They found no advantage and a number of structural problems so the project was discontinued. Only 2 are currently known, this one and the original, which still retains the initial '64 style nose. Not as pretty and prone to lifting the front wheels off the ground at high speeds. The roadster that actually won the Sebring 12 hour is presumed destroyed.
