Allan McNish Explains LeMans
« on: May 27, 2011, 06:26:40 PM »
An Audi video where Allan McNish explains A Day in the Life of an Audi LeMans Driver.

Audi puts outs some great, well produced racing vids. I wish some team in F1 would do the same.

Gosh holding your breath in case your lungs get squished sounds fascinating, do you think it causes real problems or is it only certain Le Mans drivers who have mastered the trick?
I'm sure aircrew of super fast jets have G suits, can't Audi use them if it's a issue. :DntKnw:

Now we know why that vid is so slick, it's an advert, it was made for a commercial break in the coverage of the Champions league football  final shown on world TV yesterday. The game was brilliant, had a massive world wide TV audience and was heralded as the greatest sporting event on the planet this year.

But as this is what you over the pond, in the US, call 'Soccer' it probably never figured in any of your TV schedules,  :(  although any Latin oriented stations may well have taken the feed.

F1 drivers also do the "hold breath round high-G" corners trick, though doubtless Allan learned in sportscars before ever going there.

You're right, John. The MLS (Major League Soccer) team up in Columbus, the Crew, won the championship a few years ago. The first I read about it was after the game was over. Crew Stadium is about 45 miles away from here.
