Return of Can Am?
« on: September 18, 2011, 01:29:42 AM »
Next season, the ALMS will feature a new Heritage Series. The series will feature NuArt Can Am cars. The new cars look a like the 1972 McLaren M8Fs. Like the old McLarens are powered by big-block Chevy V8’s, in this case making more than 700 horsepower. The chassis incorporates all the latest materials and safety provisions. They will also have 12-inch-diameter steel brake discs, much like the originals.

Kinda cool and fun to watch, but still another spec series.

Everythings gone retro in the car market in Europe with the new gen Beetle, Mini and Fiat 500. so Back to the Future too for racing eh.  :D
Maybe they'll do a DeLorean series as well.  :tease:
