And gear ratios will be fixed for entire season, with new regs.  :swoon:

Sounds like F1 is heading towards a boring clone series, how will it be able to claim it's the pinnacle with so much set in stone?

What a pile of rubbish! If they are really interested in cutting costs, don't make everyone spend a fortune developing those unwanted turbo V6's. F1's only hope of remaining the apex of racing tech is if the FIA can screw up Le Mans racing as badly as they're screwing up F1.

How can you have the same bloody gearbox ratio's for Monaco and Monza, sheer stupidity that is.  :fool: 's

Retarded is right.  Now they're going to have to spend millions coming up with a trick gearbox that can somehow make up for the new rule.

Easy, you make a car that can win Monaco or Monza, but not both.

F1 gets more race winners (assuming not everyone picks the same track to win), and a closer championship.

I have faith that the 'cost cutting' is part of a larger plan to create strong, healthy teams that can afford to get back to the good old days.
