Goodbye Suzuki

With no 1000cc Bike in testing and Alvaro Bautista signing for Gresini does this mean that Suzuki has decided to depart the moto gp paddock?

I know the marketing dept at Suzuki have been saying they don't want the bill for a MotoGP programme as it's not justified by roadbike sales. So I guess prototype bikes are going they way of F1 with only the race winning manufacturer teams thinking the spend is worthwhile.

Maybe Dorna the promotors of MotoGP are right to allow the customer spec chassis and engines to get higher numbers on the grid. Some races have started with a field of only 15 bikes this year, hardly worthy of the premier world championship for motobikes is it?  :nono:

With Honda only running two Repsol bikes next year, Simoncelli leaving the party all too early and Suzuki probably gone, the top end of the field wiil look pretty sparse next year. :(

If Suzuki was winning on a regular basis, I wonder if the situation would be different?
