Ferrari boss Luca to go for the big prize in 2013
« on: December 22, 2011, 02:28:00 PM »

He has announced he will run for the Italian presidency.

Luca di Montezemolo has announced he will be a candidate when Italians vote in the 2013 general election.

The Ferrari president has long flirted with politics and finally confirmed his ambition this week in a letter to members of his party Italiafutura.

"The second republic has failed. We need new faces and new ideas because the next elections will be of historic importance," wrote the 64-year-old.

He signed the letter with ’Luca di Montezemolo, future president of Italy’.

Wow.  So many places to go with this...

Will he ask the EU for special payments due to Rome's historical nature lending credibility to the continent?

Will he leave the EU because he wants to spend more money than the other countries?

Will his cabinet be given instructions in not very subtle code?

If the Austrian economy fares better, will he try to have their flexible factory designs banned?
