Sutil given suspended sentence
« on: February 01, 2012, 01:15:22 AM »
You think this might be part of the reason he has no seat
this year? The teams might be afraid of him

German Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has been handed an 18-month suspended sentence after being found guilty of bodily harm.

The incident involved Lotus co-owner Eric Lux who had his neck injured in an incident said to involve a champagne glass. It happened in a Shanghai nightclub last April, where a party was celebrating Lewis Hamilton's victory.

Sutil was found guilty on the second day of the trial, held in Munich. In addition to the sentence, Sutil has been fined 200,000 euros, which is to be given to charity.

Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."
