Following the Tweets from Brad Keselowski during the ensuing red flag was so much fun! The guy drives with his phone in his pocket. he posted lots of photos and answered many questions. He gained over 100,000 followers. most fun I've ever had with Twitter!

I can't believe they went back to racing after that!

I'd have been worried about structural damage to the track.  After Dan Wheldon, I'm surprised any organisation would take a big risk on a super speedway.

I'm glad it worked out though.

It's hard to see from the video, but they said that Montoya's car went under the jet dryer. The trailer flew up and crashed back down on JPM's hood (bonnet).

I was just glad that no one was seriously hurt. It was amazing that the fire didn't damage the track pavement or the foam blocks in the SAFER barrier any more than it did. Top marks to the safety crew!  :good:

Boy that's what you call getting too hot in a curve.  :D

I expect NASCAR will be reviewing their safety car speed limits.  I was amazed when Montoya said he 'only' had it in 4th gear.

It was a bit of a fluke accident though - they at least had a truck trailing the jet blower that sort of protected it, but Montoya's car neatly went around it sideways.
