2012 Australian Grand Prix
« on: March 15, 2012, 10:17:27 AM »
G'day Everyone,

I arrived here in Melbourne this morning and headed out to the track for the pit lane walk. The weather today was changable, everything from sun to rain and there is a bit of a storm going on right now.

Here are half a dozen photos of the pit lane walk. Also, seeing the Ferrari up close really showed how ugly the step in the nose is.

The weather report for Saturday and Sunday is sunny, I am hoping that it is.

I will try and post up a few photos each day. Enjoy these ones.

Cheers, Aazz.

How jealous am I feeling right now hehe. Couldn't you have edited the Ferrari picture though to make it look nicer. It makes me  hehe

Keep the photos coming, any of Fernando would be greatly appreciated...him I mean not the car  :D hehe

Great pix, aazz!

Your Ferrari picture finally shows the real reason for that step in the nose. They put Alonso's number, 5, right there. That way, Massa can see it clearly in his mirrors and will know to pull to the side & let him pass.   ;)

:nono: :nono: :nono: Like I have said before, Massa would have to be in front for that to happen. Not likely hehe
Sorry David got to stick up for my man hehe

It's really not very refined...surely they could have done something a little jazzier with the Ferrari nose - heck, even a graphic to accent it or something.  Yuck.

Aazz seems to have found a way to go to a few of the Asian races each year.  Always does great reviews and pics.  We're all VERY envious of him.   :good: :good:

G'day again everyone,

Here are some photos from the first two practice sessions. Sorry about the fuzziness in the photos but I am shooting through the fence.

There is a photo of Fernando just for Jugirl (sorry, he is in the car)!

I am back at the hotel trying to dry my shoes and drinking beer. Besides the rain I am having a great time and hoping for a couple of days of sun.

Cheers, Aazz.

Here are the next few photos. Sorry for the delay with Fernando Jugirl (maybe it was too much beer)! And thanks to Scott for alerting me to my very simple error, I resized the photos but kept clicking on the original

Anyway, I'm heading to the track shortly and hoping for a Webber pole and Ricciardo second on the grid  :P And finally the sun is shining.

Nice photos aazz, :good: I'm really really jealous though - you're there and I'm not.  :D

The Ferrari has more than a passing resemblence to a double deck London bus, no wonder they are having issues with it.  :DD

The Caterham looks a touch agricultural with the rain tyres on too.  :swoon:

G'day everyone and here are the photos from Saturday,

I have got a couple of Alonso's Ferrari in the gravel and on the truck, what's going on there Jugirl (sorry, I had to mention it)!

There is also one of the Crusty Demons show that is happening here, these blokes are amazing, they are doing back flips just for a simple practice jump.

There is also one picture of Russell Ingall's Commodore from the V8 Supercars, they are my second favourite race series, this is from the pits after a massive shunt in the race.

There is also a couple of pictures of what I can see from my seat, I am sitting at the exit of turn two.

And finally there a bit of sun today and hopefully there will be some tomorrow.

Cheers and go Webber  :yahoo:
