Nice try dare, but you'll have to try harder than that to convince this ol' miser to fork out for a new telly.

Scotty, I was pressing all the buttons and the picture was going fat, thin, square and all sorts, still there was no names of the drivers. Surely they will have to do something about that.

FYI, in Canada we get the BBC feed.

I guess they're doing live coverage of the race for the Commonwealth, even if they don't show it live themselves.

I miss Martin Brundle, but I did get DC.  not sure who else I was listening to though.

Actually most of the time they didn't show the driver times.  Considering F1 Timing was nothing but a grey screen, for my taste Sky didn't show nearly enough of the timing.

Thats the BBC for you, they think more of other countries than their own, come to think of it, so does the Government.

Too right mate!  :good: They sell a service paid for by us to other broadcasters, but leave us with just a part service. Our licence fee is really a tax so we don't count, we have to pay up and get what we're given.  >:(

Other countries say our TV service is the envy of the world, well they don't have a whacking great tax imposed on them for less than half their broadcast services whilst then having to fund the alternatives thru ads or direct subscription.

Got to watch the race after all.  :yahoo:

A friend of mine gave me his Sky login details and I watched it live on line. My F1 spark is well and truly alive again.

Part of the reason why the UK economy is flat is because people like me can't afford a TV that can show the F1 properly any more...
