Thank you very much!

My parents and I went to a very nice Chinese buffet to celebrate (Monday's an awkward day for synchronising schedules). Lots of laughter with Chinese seaweed, various kinds of giant prawns and the mysterious "umm, ahh, errr" drink.

Thank you! I'm not expecting much, if anything, in the way of F1 items, but I bought myself a Force India hat and lanyard on Saturday so I can't really complain ;)

The last hat I bought was a Fisi Renault hat with the lion on it.I
waited and waited for a Fisi Force India and Ferrari hat but alas they
never appeared

Have a great day ALi,

It's a shame all your GPW chums can't be with you. At least we are all thinking of you.  :good:

Thank you very much for your good wishes, everyone.

I got two Wheel of Time books (The Gathering Storm and Towers of Midnight, also known as books 12 and 13 of the series) and a package from a friend in Finland that included a DVD about F1 and a massive pile of Ferrari photos. I had a lazy morning before visiting Grandma (nice food, quiz on TV was rather tough on account of knowing nothing about obscure tennis cities or Tottenham Hotspur managers). The weather was wonderful - clear bright skies with lots of sunshine - so Mum served my first salad of the "summer" for tea. Then I played Civilization III with Dad for several hours.

We forgot to defrost the cake but nobody minded. Oh well, I can spread the celebrations out a bit longer (I started celebrating on Saturday when going bowling with a friend whose birthday is today).

The last hat I bought was a Fisi Renault hat with the lion on it.I
waited and waited for a Fisi Force India and Ferrari hat but alas they
never appeared

I had a go at sewing my own Fisi Force India hat. It came out rubbish because I barely know which end to hold the needle, but it felt good to have a go...
