:DD John, grab yourself a ticket to Leeds v Millwall, or even better

               Leeds v Cardiff.

Hmm...maybe Sir Moss wants to turn F1 in Champ cars racing and just go in big ovals. But wait..there have been 7 deaths in champ cars since Senna in ´94. Have something to do with high speed and concrete walls?  I think so.

After testing at Mugello, most drivers were quoted as saying what a great track it was and that they would like to race there, but Petrov, a late comer, saw it differently:

Quote
Vitaly Petrov had said on Wednesday that he felt the track wasn’t suited to F1 cars, “I don’t think we should have come here,” he said. “It is not safe and wide enough. If you lose it, the walls are so close and you will smash into the tyres. It is not for Formula 1 and, if you lost the steering or the tyre pressure dropped or whatever, then it will be a big crash.”

I would like to remind Mr. Petrov, you run the whole race withing very narrow circuit in Monaco, and that is one of the glamorous and spectacular race of the calender. What happens to these concerns when you go there to race?

Perhaps you should admit," I am not confident enough of my consistency, for which I need run-off areas."

When he came to F1, he didn't know about these, so he was a fast and exciting driver. As he learned about these facts about racing, no wonder he reeling in the end of the pack..I guess we will always blame the machine for his lack of pace, but the driver needs some courage as well, that this bloke clearly lack...

Keep running the fast cars, you will be never out of girls

Monaco doesn't have the speeds of other circuits.  And the advantage of having the walls RIGHT there means you are more likely to glance off them relatively harmlessly as opposed to plowing straight into one.

175 thru the tunnel is fast enough for me

Yeah and for Perez too. He needed a good rest after coming out of the tunnel too quick.  ;)

Yeah, but at the end of it they've created a pretty effective barrier.  It's probably the only really dangerous place on the track, but they've almost put that to rest.

And a good lap at Mugello is around 135 MPH or so.
