Vettel takes pole in Valencia
« on: June 23, 2012, 02:30:38 PM »
Vettel takes pole, from an in-surging Lewis Hamilton while Force India, Williams, And Sauber pushes Ferrari, half Mercedes and half Red Bull out of Q1. Though it was amazingly close, all the teams specially the so called midfield contenders really put an great show, but given the track lay out, its gonna be a procession. Hope the midfielders make a hay day out of it. We had a great run of 7 different winners this season, perhaps time has come to end that run. Perhaps the championship will be started to shape up, and gives us a great view of championship.

Webber's DRS failed. That's why he didn't make it out of Q1. Glock was sick and didn't quali. Schumi & Alonso just didn't find the speed.

Button was pretty bitter post Q...didn't give us much reason to tune in tomorrow.  Q was pretty amazing, with Maldonado and Grossjean up there in every session.  I hope it's not a procession, and with the projected track temp around 50c tomorrow, I suspect there will be a few surprises.

Sure glad I changed my pick from Schumi - phew!   :good: :good:

Ferrari was trying to save 2 sets of options for Q3, thinking that they were quick enough to make it on just one set in Q2.  :DD  The top of the list was just too close for that kind of thinking. A lot of people are betting Kimi and Grosjean because they think Lotus will be able to make 1 less pit stop than RB or Macca just as in Canada.
