Spa GP steps in and steps UP!!
« on: August 25, 2012, 01:38:09 PM »
You don't see that much these days, but Spa has stepped in and rescued the tickets sold to some 6000 F1 fans by a ticket reseller that has gone bankrupt.  They say they will issue the tickets to be picked up at the race for those affected, and then Spa GP will try to recoup its money afterwards.  Way to go Spa GP.  Stand up and take a bow!

Good on them!  :good:

No wonder Bernie wants to get rid of Spa. Having a race that actually cares for the fans is the exact opposite of his vision of F1.

Really looking forward to going to Spa. All my hard work, early mornings and late nights  over the past three years have paid off. My MD is taking me to the GP of my choice, plus the jolly nice chap that he is just bought me a new BMW. Nice!  :D

It's okay scott.....we get what bugger means in Canada.  We have one as Prime Minister.

Good on the Spa Organizers for doing the right thing and not the bottom line driven thing.
Not seen in F1 very much.

Willy, 100% agree with you, especially about the Prime Minister.  :good:

Good show from the Spa promoters, :good: of course it's much easier to do that sort of thing when the regional government is underwriting your costs, or should I say losses. Much harder to help when you are stand alone promoters.

Hope you have a great time at Spa David.  :yahoo:

P.S Just a shame that Kimi is going to keep Nando and his Ferrari off the top step on race day.  :D  :tease:

Have a good trip, David. Just tell them that you're the official correspondent for GP Wizard. That should get you into anywhere!

All the best wishes for the GP David, I am sure you will enjoy like none. Please have some photos to share with us as well. And we also like to know about your new BMW, lucky chap. (So that any one of us in the GPWizard could make ours after recognizing that  :P, I am sure guys will agree on this)

For Spa people, it shows that the circuits is not only special but also the people who make sure race in this circuit are special as well. All cheers for these guys :good: :good:

Very envious of your trip to Spa - hopefully you are doing it with some luxury. All of my trips to Spa have involved clinging onto muddy banks.
Good luck with the new car - I can only see one problem. This will make you a BMW driver. This is an unfortunate tag in the UK that has been caused by so many c*cks being given BMW company cars and thinking the badge gives them some type of right of passage. I know it is a terrible generalisation but it really does seem to be true, just about every idiot tailgater or undertaker seems to drive a BMW. Please do what you can to redeem BMW drivers!  ;)

Have a blast David, and share any and all tips with those of us who have it on our bucket lists to do.  Pictures will of course be welcome as well.

As for the BMW, I'm still soured on them after the way they left F1, so I'll never buy one myself.  Of course if it is a free bonus from your company, then of course you need to do nothing but enjoy it (or ask your company if they'll get you a nice Audi instead  ;) ).   :good: :good:

I do plan to redeem BMW drivers Monty, I'm a car lover but would liken myself to James May of Top Gear fame. I appreciate the machine but I leave the speed and mad driving for the professionals. Mines even an automatic.
