I just happened to find out the new series of George Gently my
favorite British detective has started airing and you Mr S failed to
tell me.Shame on you.

Caught the first episode and it gets my thumbs up

Sorry Dare, I've only become aware of it now you've mentioned it,   damn I've missed a good few episodes.  
I've been watching something else in the time slot that it's scheduled in so it got past me.
Seeing as how I shall be too busy to watch the next 2 episodes of GG I'll have to put the compilation DVD on my Christmas list and catch up some other time.

By the way Montalbano is back on our screens in Britain at present, courtesy of  BBC 4 channel, it's as good as ever.

You have one advantage on me John,you can catch past
episodes on the BBC player[not available in  my country]

That's true Dare, but you still have to find time to watch the programmes.  
Too many good things to do too little time, maybe if we were all like Ian and given up work it may be easier.

I'd never heard of  Montalbano John,I googled it[imagine saying
that 20 tears ago]and it looks like a good one. I'll have. to see
about catching it.
