I'm sure many of you will enjoy reading it as much as me.

"Are you saying, Jackie, that you normally lift off there?"  :DD  Really sums up Jim's outlook and wry humour.  ;)

Oh, if the link doesn't work outside Britain let me know and I'll copy and paste the script on here.

Works fine for me. A great read! Thanks, John S.

I first heard about it on Wide World of Sports. I couldn't believe it. In that day, it was sadly common for F1 drivers to die on the track. But I never thought it could happen to Clark. He was in a class by himself. He was beyond that. I agree with Sir Jackie, it had to be some sort of mechanical failure.

Is it me or the fact that I kept drawing a parallel lines between Ayrton & Jim?

1. They both in their primes, one 32 another 34.

2. Their crash is inconceivable to many, and followed by microscopic scrutiny and yet with no conclusion.

3. They died in a similar sort of crash, unexpected for both of their caliber.

4. Their both brilliant in wet, (At times I feel brilliant is not enough for both of them in this regard), their best race is regarded where they started a bit back in the grid, stormed their way to lead, and almost made entire grid lapped.(Clark in 63 Belgian Grand Prix, Ayrton at Donnington 93)

5.They both didn't left a widow

Perhaps I am undecided who to choose one, so might be my mind to keep them parallel, so that it is a tie..
