Disney buys Lucas Films
« on: November 01, 2012, 05:57:11 PM »
Earlier this week Disney and Lucas film announced that Disney will be buying the latter and it's Star Wars franchise for the cool sum of $4 billion. To make it an even bigger story it was also announced that Disney would be releasing an episode 7 Star Wars film.

To celebrate Darth Vader went to Disney to have some good ol ' fashioned fun.

Does that mean that Leia Organa will become yet another Disney Princess? They've announced an Episode 7 to be released in 2015. I wonder if the Rebel Alliance will be battling Darth Geezer in it.

Now who would have guessed Tron, Woody and Buzz Lightyear were really Jedi Knights.  :D

Between Star Wars, Avengers, Pixar and their own Animated movies, Disney is going to have a hard time finding release dates that don't cannibalise each other.

BUT, I'm excited that Disney will be running Star Wars.  They have plenty of people on hand who know how to do big, exciting family fare.
