Here's a link that's better.

Oh Dare, batten down your hatches, watching the radar pattern it's getting closer to you.

Rainy and cold, very windy. I just heard on the radio that they expect the worst of the winds to miss us. Still have my fingers crossed.

Boardwalk in Atlantic City at least partly destroyed. 8 to 10 foot surge going miles inland. Snow in the West Virginia mountains. Unbelievable!!

Windy, cold and snowing this morning. They still have the high wind warnings up through 18:00 tonight, but it looks like we got off easy. Like Lonny said, they have up to 2 feet of snow across the river in WV. Many power outages over there, too.

I just heard that 8 of the subway tunnels under the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn/Queens have flooded with salt water. It may be days before they can be reopened. The New York Stock Exchange will be closed for a second day, the first two day closer since the 1880's.

7 million homes without power.  Queens NY burning.  Parts of NJ under 45ft water, 7 subway tunnels filled with salt water, and a 30 ton crane hanging by its cables 30 stories up about 3 blocks from a friends place in midtown east.

It's a lot worse than most expected.  :(

Now it appears data centers are down in NYC which hosts tons of websites.  Some are mirrored, some not.

Wow, I forgot all about this today - just remembered. Looks serious - I hope the death toll doesn't go up any more. All the best to anyone in the thick of it.

I just found these pics, you may have seen them already: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/worldnews/9643442/Superstorm-Sandy-flood-wind-damage-and-travel-chaos-in-New-York-City.html?frame=2383334
