So where is good ole Georgie?  I thought he would have weighed in at least once or twice during the current election.   :DntKnw:

Seriously, he went off to the Cayman Islands a few days before the election for a highly paid speaking engagement to a group of billionaires. He also stopped to visit all of Mitt's money that he has stashed down there.

Ex presidents traditionally stay out of current politics.  Bill Clinton is a bit of an exception, given that his spouse is involved.  Carter is too, because I suspect he's gotten tired of keeping his trap shut for 20 years.

Past presidents usually get a prominent speaker's slot at their party's convention. W wasn't even invited to this year's GOP.

I am sure this is the bunch who have made America's economy crippled, no wonder they have invited Bush as a speaker..

I think it's hard to blame any single politician or party for the capitalist system getting out of control, especially in the US, capitalism is after all about making the most money no matter what. Law makers can only ever react to excesses rather than prevent them, there are always new ways for the wealthiest or wannabe rich to rig and manipulate the system. It's the price we pay for so called free markets.

I dunno.  Can't just shrug my shoulders and say that's the way it is.  The stock market doesn't even represent the free market, yet it has the ability to cripple an (or many) economy.  Free market is about competition, but I don't want my bank competing with me in investments.  Banks should go back to lending and borrowing.

One of the biggest reason for the shape of our economy is
the Federal Reserve Bank, they own the USA and it's anything
but federal.
