James Bond and the Aston Martin DB5
« on: February 07, 2013, 05:36:56 PM »

The Aston Martin DB5 that caused a tremendous amount of talk and has been dubbed 'the most famous car in the world.'

Notably only 4 examples of the Bond car were produced for the 007 films Goldfinger and Thunderball starring Sean Connery, which signaled the start of Aston's & Bonds relationship.

Now, one of the four original DB5s, the 1965 model which is one of only two which comes fully fitted out with all of Q Branch's Bond-worthy gadgets is being offered for sale in UK for whopping $4.7 million. The car is being offered for private sale by Britain-based Aston Martin specialist RS Williams, on the occasion of British automakers 100th anniversary which also saw the launch of Aston Martin's Centenary Edition Vanquish.

One word....Cool

I just comforted myself by saying that the one in Skyfall was only the DB5 that he won at Casino Royale, not the real one that he got from Q in Goldfinger.   ;)
