Ferrari rubbish 'Schumacher for team boss' reports
« on: February 14, 2007, 01:45:51 PM »
Ferrari have dismissed speculation Michael Schumacher is being groomed to take over as team boss.

Reports in Germany suggested the seven-time world champion, who is involved in Ferrari's preparations for the 2007 season, had opened talks with the Italian team.
But Ferrari's communications manager Luca Colajanni said: "Michael is clearly involved with the team, but this report is nonsense."

The 38-year-old drove for Ferrari for 11 years before retiring at the end of the 2006 season. He won five world titles in a row from 2000.

Schumacher has had all test data and times communicated to him at home, and has been charged with helping his successor, Kimi Raikkonen, settle into his new team.

Apparently MS has made more visits to Maranello and participated in more key meetings in the last few months than he did during all of 2006, and an anonymous Ferrari 'insider' noted: "A person who is involved in such a way is preparing for a high-ranking job."

Well I for one never swallowed the report that he was to be an  ' Ambassador ' for Ferrari, there's too much racing and technical knowledge above his shoulders to be wasted smiling sweetly(?) for the cameras
An aircraft landing is just a controlled crash.
