Valsecchi confidence
« on: March 04, 2013, 09:15:59 AM »
Valsecchi got a taste of the E21 on Saturday due to Kimi being ill. He only got a morning's testing in before Grosjean hot-footed it back from Paris to take over in the afternoon. He seemed to enjoy himself:

Imagine the call to Grosjean:

Eric: 'Kimi's ill, we're gonna let Davide have a go'
Romain: 'I'm on my way NOW!'

No doubt Lotus wanted Grosjean back in Kimi's absence, but I bet he feels under pressure, with good reason. If he causes an accident his career is in doubt. Add to that he's got Valsecchi yapping away, confident after a triumphant season in GP2, eager to step up. I really want Grosjean to succeed, fascinating to see how he handles it.

Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."
