Here is a great idea that allows your car's OBD port to talk to your smartphone to communicate car problems – and much more...

OBD Port?? I hear you say.

Well, all cars in the US (since 1996) and EU (since 2004) are required to have On-Board Diagnostics port enabling the car to point you or your mechanic in the right direction when a fault appears. Automatic Labs, Inc. are producing Automatic Link, a device for your car to communicate with you via your smartphone.

I find it a bit overpriced.  $70?  My car is pretty smart on its own.  I don't think I need an app to tell me a) how to drive better (more efficiently), or b), that my engine light is on.  I like the engine fault code translation, but really, that's about all I would want out of this app, and for just that I think it is too expensive. :DntKnw:
