The person who has spent so much time putting this together has a problem and needs to get out more.  :fool:

Love to watch him drive, but humble he's not. His latest column for BBC F1 online is hilarious. Me me me me me me me me.

On the other hand he's certainly proving interesting, who knows what he'll be up to in a year or so? Pet chimp? Tiger? His own team? Monocle perhaps? Hover-throne? Ooh hover-throne...

Edit: his second column for the BBC does have some stuff about visiting a children's hospital, so it's not all bad...

He's a very good driver, and it's true the team cost him some points along the way. But it's also true he's thrown away some points being overly aggressive. The fact that Button almost always is better in tricky conditions shows Lewis doesn't have Senna type car control, but at the same time, he is one of the 2 fastest drivers in F1 along with Vettel. Someone once said that to be the best at anything, you must have a huge ego and be ruthless. He is that. Others seem to be able to do it with more class, but I'm sure they all do what they feel they need to to win. Personally, I would rather see Button or Kimi win but I'm sure Lewis will win his share.

I'd agree that Lewis has always assumed he is entitled, sure he's fast but I just can't see he's a true great.  :nono:
Vettel though for all his baby tantrums, and I can't warm to him because of them, has taken far better advantage of the sponsor silver spoon than Lewis.

Seb will have the record books to show his prowess if he never wins another title, however if Lewis fails to get anymore championships I don't see him even getting the popular accolades as a great nearly man like Stirling.  :(

One other thing to remember is Lewis is now managed by the same  company who manage David Beckam so Lewis and Mercedes will be big bucks and a higher profile you will see more of him in advertising for Merc.

I can't disagree with you on that point, however celebrity status does not necessarily equate to great driver status.

For me Senna undoubtedly has the Worldwide celebrity status but Alain has the higher driver standing. These things can obviously just appear to be subjective when in truth their results should be the final arbiter.

Lewis apparently asked for Bernie's help to get a seat at RBR.

Funny thing in this story is that it appears Bernie is taking credit for sending Lewis to Merc, while shortly after he signed, it was Lauda taking the credit.

Interesting that Bernie said Dieter felt loyalty towards Webber.  Nice to hear there is at least one Austrian on Webber's side.

Trouble is can you believe all you read in the press?
Of course you cannot so these stories are always going to circulate.

I thought Lewis was quite humbling on the podium yesterday.

I think he is finding out that Nico is a bit faster than he thought.

Both drivers were on fuel saving so not racing at all the end a bit like Red Bull but without the handbags!!

I think the team was also preparing the ground for any team orders fall out during the race, a couple of times they released info that Lewis was ordered to put pressure on the Red Bulls regardless of fuel use.

Whilst I know pushing RBR very hard is a very good strategic move, especially because tyres are so unpredictable, this sort of tactic is not usually made public until after the race. The info was certainly out well before the RBR switch around, although Seb obviously took away any public pain that Merc may have got for the hold station order.
