I really hope that little guy becomes a famous racer, and then it will be a very famous video.

But mostly likely that boy will become an arrogant pr*ck...

That whirring sound you hear is Enzo spinning in his grave.

Still, I wasn't much older than that when Dad let me drive up & down our street in our Ferrari, oops, I mean Falcon.  ;)

Yeah! I confess, my Dad used to sit me on his lap and steer while he worked the gas and brake. Tons of fun. I miss him.

Mine too.  By the time I was 12 I was driving the garbage out our cottage road to the garbage shack alone (3miles).  '72 Ford Galaxy 500 wagon.  I still smile when I think about those times.

I tried it here once (son on my lap when he was younger), and the first person we passed started honking like crazy and then yelling out the window.  Got a call that evening by our quasi-mayor asking me what the heck I thought I was up to.  ....different times, sigh...

The best I got was being allowed to steer my Dad's Standard Vanguard 6 around some fields in Hatfield Forest. It was used when he bought it and he loved it so much he kept it running for 16 years!

I can still smell the petrol as we loaded up Mum & Dad, me and my two Sisters and Rhona the golden labrador plus camping gear for a 12 hour drive to Scotland. Not many motorways then and not a seat belt in site!

Happy Days.

Likewise with me, my Dad had a 1961 Zodiac Mk2, he used to let me drive it round the field where we were camping in Cornwall, don't panic, it was a big field.

Was that necessary?  The kid drove really well and nobody was hurt.   :fool: :fool:
