'Points matter, not friends'

And just what type of character is Vettel building?

Helmut Marko has backed Sebastian Vettel in the 'Multi21' affair, saying it's points and not friends that count in F1.

Vettel claimed a controversial 25 points in the Malaysian GP when he disobeyed team orders to pass Mark Webber for the victory.

The German's actions poured ice water over an already cool relationship especially after he came out saying he would do it again.

And although Vettel has been widely criticised, at least one person is supporting the reigning World Champ.

"A driver sometimes begins to develop his own character. This is not always easy but it's a must," Marko told the Bild am Sonntag.

"Sebastian is not a politician who has to win an election.

"In F1 you don't count your friends; only your points."

Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."

Well, that answers my questions about what happened to Vettel. I hope he can straighten himself back up after Marko departs.

That says it all really.  Marko is not a pleasant person at all in my view.

It's also worth noting that while Formula 1 is always about beating the rest, especially your team mate, trust is an important part of team building, and about racing other drivers on the track.  Marko, as usual, missed the bigger picture.

What else could we expect from this Big Mouth? Now who will be there to believe that they didn't have any preference order.(Though no one believed them in the first place anyway  :D )
