the speedway at Daytona is huge. Parking lots all over the place. a large on-ramp to Interstate 95, the main east coast north-south highway,is right next to the track.

The track has seating for about 168,000. Attendance for the 500 is usually a little over 200,000.

The video cuts off just too soon. Clint Bowyer, the driver of the flaming car. climbed out of it, stood beside the flaming car, calmly took his driving gloves off and tossed them through the window onto the seat!

By the way, JPM pulled a 19th out of the 21 or so cars running at the end. He ran at the tail most of the race. Said he was having handling problems with the car.

British Indycar driver Dan Wheldon was spotted around the pits talking to teams. His car owner, Chip Ganassi, also owns NASCAR entries. It seems that he may have finally given up on going to F!.
“You can search the world over for the finer things, but you won't find a match for the American road and the creatures that live on it.”
