I'm sure Ian agrees.

Paying for freight...I thought Bernie Air took care of that as part of the Concorde Agreement.  Why should Bernie and the FIA be the only ones deciding on where races are when the teams have to pay freight to get there?  At the very least, the promoters themselves should kick in some transport to get the circus there (takes me back to my first point - I thought the transport costs would certainly come out of the race fees).  What the heck??  :DntKnw: :DntKnw:

Bernie Air pays for 2 cars, plus (I think) 2 tonnes of freight. When that was originally agreed in 1981, all but the most profligate teams were well within that limit, apart from their spare car(s). The fact that it's now a drop in the ocean is illustrative of how big F1 has become. The fact that the teams haven't thrown Bernie in a lake for not increasing the free freight limits is illustrative of how much richer F1 has become.
