New Caterham 7
« on: September 21, 2013, 01:47:52 PM »
Caterham is bringing out a new version of the classic Caterham (formerly Lotus) 7. The carbon-fiber AeroSeven uses a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine to sprint to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds. Output is rated at 237 hp at 8,500 rpm while max torque is 152 lb-ft at 6,300 rpm.

I like the looks of the new car, but I'm also glad that the classic version (widely known as the "Neil Version) of the 7 will continue. From the front, the AeroSeven does look a bit like a 7 being swallowed by a snake.

I like Neil's version better as well.  This one just doesn't seem to have the Caterham character.

Though the look is a bit odd specially the front, but I hope it retains its legacy being a fun, cub racing car to drive :)

Sad news on the Caterham front, well from my perspective anyway. I had to let her go to a new home. Insufficient funds and lack of garage (Dad's moving miles away ::)) forced the decision. I'm still having the counselling :'( :D

I'm so sorry to hear about your Caterham. Good to have you back, though. Like the lads said, we've missed you.
