Just simply taking the one act, of selling all F1 rights to Bernie FOR 100 YEARS!  I didn't even think a contract like that would be legal.  To transfer rights ownersip from what is supposedly a democratic body to a corporation for 100years for ANY sum of money is simply criminal.

The only thing you missed out in that summation Scott is the fact that Bernie could have taken the F1 circus out of the hands of the FIA, by making that deal at least it tied the biggest racing series in the world to them giving the rest of their racing portfolio legitimacy. With the reportedly 300m paid surely the FIA should have perpetual income from such a sum invested wisely?

Just who in F1 would, or indeed could, have stood in Bernie's way at the time if he chose to take the series, even if it was renamed, to another ruling body; - or even worse had created his own sanctioning body? What good is the F1 brand in your portfolio if no one wants to run in your races?  How many F2 and F3 series are currently running?  Um let me think...................
