So Maldo wasn't so happy...

He does have a point, but Williams has never been a team to hold their driver's hand when the chips are down.  Good luck to him wherever he lands.  Not sure if Sauber would be a good fit, but maybe a year or two at Force India will change things for him.

F1 seems to be swimming in drivers who believe they could champions in the right car.

If they want the right car, they're going to have to learn how to get it without whining about the car they have.

The best car isn't a given right, it's like respect, has to be earned.

Drives at teams like Ferrari and McLaren, that have a history of excellence, have to be earned, true. But Button didn't really earn his, he was in the right place at the right time when the Brawn came good and allowed him to show his ability. The same could be said for Vettel at Red Bull. Even Lotus was not a highly desired position when Jim Clark signed on.

Also, this current season proves once again that even getting a drive at Ferrari & McLaren is no guarantee of a winning car. Each driver need to make the best of the car they have. Kimi has done that this year. Pastor (and others) have not.

Maldonado has now accused the team of tampering with his tire pressures "or something" to deliberately sabotage his race in Austin.

There were big temperature and wind changes between FR3 & Quali. It caught several drivers on the back foot. I really don't think Williams would sabotage one of their own cars. I don't doubt that they are spending much more time and effort on setting up Bottas's car, and it seems to be paying off.

The team might not be behind any funny business on Pastor's car, but they will certainly not be sharing any new info or updates with him. As I've said in another thread quite a few of the grid slots appear to out of place, the natural order will probably be restored in most cases by half distance. It's going to be mighty interesting to see the relative finishing places of Bottas and Maldonado. After all there are no points for quali. ;)

I'd sabotage his car if I was at Williams,I'd
put a tack in his seat
