'1' life on the limit, new F1 history documentary hits screen
« on: January 10, 2014, 10:01:25 PM »

Film '1' premiere - Leicester Square, London - tonight.
Looks like it will be well worth a trip to the local flicks when it's showing. ;)

The film, which features a selection of rare archive footage, tells the story of drivers who raced during Formula 1's highly dangerous era in the 1960s and 1970s, and those who pushed to improve safety standards.

Contributors include Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, former FIA President Max Mosley, the late Sid Watkins plus World Champions Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, John Surtees, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Jody Scheckter, Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

Strange that it is premiering tonight. I was able to buy it on iTunes in November.. I wonder why they would release it in Britain so much later than the states? Usually it is the opposite with racing flicks.

It's strange that there seems to have been no advance publicity - unlike Rush.
Can anyone who sees it please post a review.

Yeah have to agree I haven't seen any pre-publicity but it's definitely on general release in the UK now, see this from the Daily Telegraph. They also discuss many fatal and non fatal crashes from the 60s & 70s in the article.
