Williams believes it's a turnaround year
« on: January 19, 2014, 06:54:05 PM »
I'm really pleased that Symonds was on board early enough to have a lot of input into this year's car.  Never been a fan of Massa's, so as for drivers, I would perhaps have a bit different lineup (Di Resta probably).

They say their budget is healthy, but I haven't really heard any big title sponsor announcements, especially after Claire said we could expect a big sponsor announcement (or did I just miss it?  Anyone know who is replacing PDVSA?).  I just hope they have the budget they will need for a massive developement year as everyone tries to figure out which way to go with the new regs.  First year with new regs is often VERY expensive.

I'd love to see Williams on top again, Frank might sometimes seem an old grumpy but he's got F1 flowing through his veins.

Williams had a water-tight contract with PDVSA, and the will be leaving for Lotus, they may have gone to give Williams some undisclosed amount of fine, which will give Williams not only some breathing space, but also to court a new sponsorship.

Yes, they will have a chance to court new sponsorship, but I remember Claire said in Brazil that they would be making a major sponsor announcement shortly...isn't it about time?

Well, I would be planning on unveiling the new livery when I introduce the new car. You get maximum press that way.
