Looks very similar to actual pictures of the Renault engine Renault released. Except Renault have shrouded the headers for some sort of energy recovery.

Yes that is one of the key changes for 2014, and the exhaust must be placed in some way that it does not have any impact on down force, so that the exhaust diffuser, off-throttle blown diffuser, double diffuser is not there .

Does the picture below look like it is a minivan Cossie  ;)

No, it looks like something with a proper, 232 cid V8, not a tiny toy V6.
