He may have a good case. When the kitten cars were announced, the promoters expressed their fears about the downgraded fan experience. The FIA assured them that the cars would sound as good as previous cars. That was obviously a false assertion on the part of Paris.

He might, but considering who he pays his race fee to, even though Bernie may agree with him, he will never let a promoter break a contract unless there is big cash in it for him the FOM & CVC.

A friend who was at the track said they sounded great - loud combustion plus whines and whistles from the turbos, etc. I guess it is all a matter of opinion.

I enjoyed hearing tyre squeaks in qualifying, or was it practice, can't remember. Don't recall hearing it particularly in the race, too much background noise perhaps. Maybe a factor of extra torque and quieter engines. It's a novelty.

Good one Wiz, am I ever glad I went to a GP before they used scooter engines.
