World's Largest Building Open for Business

The story is a year old, but I just stumbled on it.

Quote
The New Century Global Center boasts a mammoth 1.7 million sq m (almost 19 million sq ft) of indoor space, which is four fifths the size of Monaco

It contains
  • Shopping
  • Hotels (yes, hotels plural)
  • A water park which includes a rapids ride and world's largest wavepool
  • A Mediterranean village styled shopping area

Sounds interesting to me.  Especially comparing it with the size of Monaco.  It means that the building is big enough to host an F1 race.  (I'm not seriously suggesting they do... but I'm not opposed to the idea)

If F1 continues to race in those petro-dictatorships with cash to burn, maybe they should request indoor tracks.  Obviously that can be done.  Imagine the possibilities:

  • Amazing camera angles
  • Controled conditions
  • Sprinkler system to have artificial wet races
