Sir Frank Williams: What I've Learned - Esquire interview

I'm sure the article will interest many, not just WF.  ;)

Just Love these quotes:- " I wouldn’t ever encourage anyone to drive like I used to." - "The only driver who has ever frightened me is me.

Good one John, I loved the first line........

I'm English first and British second.

I find it surprising that one of his favourite things in life is being driven by a top racer car driver, and yet as the owner of one of the most successful F1 teams he's only had that opportunity a handful of times!

I should think anyone looking for a seat in F1 should be lining up at Frank's door and offering him the ride of a lifetime.

'...out of the car drivers are a pain and expensive...'  Love it...Frank being frank.   :D :D :D

As for who has ever scared me when I was a passenger, aside from my wife (to whom I am never a passenger unless injured, drunk or sick), I would have to say Neil P., driving through Birmingham in the dead of night like a bat out of hell trying to find the go kart track.  So quiet and polite out of the car and turns into a banshee when in it.

You shouldn't have told Neil that there was a horde of armed squirrels chasing him Scott.  :DD  :DD
