Yet another Tilke Snooze Factory. On the bright side, the circuit's lack of action gave us plenty of time during the race to discuss Wizzo's new Caterham in the Chat Room.

Now, on to The Most Overrated Circuit in the Entire History of Racing.

There were no truly good races and no over-taking worthy of note.  It was a beautiful venue, but did not deliver, Mr. Tilke >:(

A oval with 2 chicanes would have made for better
racing.....a little advice for the next Tilke attempt
at a racing circuit.

I enjoyed the race.  not a classic by any means, but a nice looking venue helps I guess.

BBC  preemptively apologized for Tilke's design, as the F1 track was put in after the Olympic park was built, so options for a track were limited.

That was awful.  The most boring Grand Prix I can remember having watched since I first started watching F1.  What a waste of time.  Nothing of any consequence happened at all, and the circuit was still just as lifeless and dull as it had seemed at first glance.

The whole thing was like a horrible parody of a Bond film.  Ecclestone sat there in the Grandstand with Putin.  The fact that the Russian government is rumoured to be paying the most money ever paid to Ecclestone to stage a Grand Prix tells you all you need to know about why F1 is racing at this awful track.  Just think about all the old tracks which could be being used instead of this soulless and lifeless autodrome.
