Hi, I haven't been active here for a while (okay, a long while) but I found this and thought I'd share it with you.

It's a table showing all possible WDC results assuming both ROS and HAM finish on the podium or don't finish. Spoiler: it's looking pretty good for Lewis.

All the permutations simply show it's Lewis' title to lose, the only way Nico can win it is by his teamate's default.

There's no way Nico can take the WDC by simply beating Lewis in a straight 1/2 finish.
