Tom Magliozzi dies
« on: November 03, 2014, 09:50:04 PM »
One of PBS best shows was "Car Talk" featuring Tom and Ray Magliozzi. They also wrote a nationally syndicated newspaper column about car maintenance. It was funny and practical and right on the money. I'll miss him.

I've been a Car Talk listener for many, many years. I heard the news this afternoon. I had NPR on in my truck. While I was deeply saddened by the news, I couldn't help but laugh at the clips they played. His laugh was always infectious.

The show has been airing classic episodes for the past year or so. NPR says they will continue to air them.

A typical Tom Joke:

A woman was reading a car magazine. She told her husband, "My birthday is next week. I want something that will go from zero to over two hundred in under three seconds." He got the a bathroom scale. Services for the husband will be held Tuesday at Laststop's Funneral Home.

R.I.P., Tom. We'll miss you.

I never could ever tell who was Ray or who was Tom.

Great clip.

Sad loss indeed.
