Just Bernie deflecting.  Fix F1 finances, then go muck around with the regs.

I don't think Honda will be impressed either having just invested large sums in getting back into the sport with a new V6 hybrid, it'll also kill any prospect of Audi/VW entering.

As has been said this sounds like a diversionary tactic from Bernie, he just loves smoke and mirrors.  :D

It's not often that I agree with Ferrari, but that statement hits the nail on the head. Dumping the mini-motors would help both the finances and the show itself. I don't really see VW Group putting any money into F1. There's no reason for them to. With the V8's the smaller teams might at least have a shot at affordable power plants from Cosworth.

I can't see this happening.  Red Bull really want the V8s back, but that's just so they can be the winners again.  If they had crushed all the opposition this year too, they wouldn't be anywhere near so vocal.

It's up to the FIA and Ecclestone to get the costs down by imposing limits on what the manufacturers can charge and redistributing the prize money fairly respectively.
