Don't forget, Hammy had his share of mechanical DNF's during the season, too. I think Lewis won it fair & square.

I have to agree with Irisado that the Yabba Dabba Do circuit sucks along with Valencia, Singapore & Bahrain.
Very glad I used the PVR so I could fast forward through the snorefest that was the final race.
Sad to see the last races of a number of drivers but new faces will appear and some old faces in different coloured race gear.
The double race points was as bomb as it made zero difference. Another of Bernie's hair-brained ideas

Someone with a better memory than me will have all the facts but I think Hamilton had one 'bad luck day' more than Rosberg through the season so the result was probably based on an almost equal number of full races. Of course that doesn't tell the whole story because Hamilton never ruined any of Rosberg's races whereas Nico deliberately ruined Hamilton's qualifying at Monaco and deliberately hit Hamilton in one of the races.
Therefore, it seems that the best man won this year.

Hamilton deserved the title.  Yes, it was unfortunate that Rosberg had an electrical issue, but Hamilton had suffered a lot of mechanical troubles himself mid-season, and the way in which he took the lead and stayed ahead suggested to me that Rosberg wouldn't have beaten him anyway.

Apart from the tension of the title fight, which fell away once Rosberg lost power, there was precious little to hold the attention.  A couple of good scraps with Vergne battling Ricciardo and Perez and Hulkenberg pulling same late passes in their Force Indias enlivened what was a pretty dull race.

Massa's late race charge was nice to watch, but he didn't really have the pace to challenge for the win.  A great race for Williams all told, and they really hammered Ferrari when it mattered.

Speaking of which, what a really poor performance by the Scuderia.  Alonso would have wanted a better ending to his team with the team than that, but the car was just nowhere near quick enough.  Raikkonen still looks off the pace, and I can't see him and Vettel helping to get Ferrari out of the doldrums next season.

Maldonado's engine blow up was the most dramatic moment of the race for me.  Now that was a proper turbo failure.  I'd predicted that this would happen to one of the Lotus cars.  A shame that there was no grid game category for that :D.

Sauber's year ended on a very low note.  It was also the first time in their history that they failed to score a point.  I'm worried that their driver partnership next season won't do anything to reverse their decline this season.

It was great to see Caterham back, and sad to see that Marussia just failed to join them.  Solid driving by Stevens to get to the end and have a few battles on the way.  I'm not sure we'll see him again though.  I also suspect that it is the end for Sutil, Gutierrez, and Vergne.

Finally, I am pretty sure that it's the end for Button too.  It shouldn't be, but everything about his interviews suggested to me that he thinks McLaren are keeping his team mate.  A real shame that in my opinion, as Button has been by far the better racer this season.
