Jean-Pierre Beltoise Dies at 77
« on: January 06, 2015, 05:46:45 PM »
The sport has lost another driver from the classic era. French driver Jean-Pierre Beltoise has died at the age of 77.

He raced motorcycles before moving to cars. He also raced sports cars & rallycross. His career almost ended with a huge crash in the Reims 12-hour sports car endurance race, in which he suffered a broken arm.

His most famous F1 moment was winning a rainy Monaco GP in 1972.

Since 1968, he has been married to Jacqueline Cevert, the sister of F1 driver François Cevert.

Adieu, Jean-Pierre. Eh bien entraînée, mon ami.

An amazing guy, with a question mark, what if the acccident didn't happened, how good he would have been with full mobility of his hands. Reminds me about Robert Kubica

Seems like years ago I remember him either getting arrested or
getting a speeding tickets for going 185 mph.Don't remember what the speed limit was.
Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."
