Silverstone Opens Dedicated Cemetery For Race Fans
« on: April 01, 2015, 08:30:21 AM »
Silverstone race circuit has plans to open a funeral service for dedicated race fans.

The cemetery will be located in the centre of the circuit and a Silverstone spokesman has said that there are a very limited number of plots available. The brochure can now be downloaded from their website and states that there are 400 plots that will be staggered in a grid like formation. A number of options will be available for customers such as chequered themed coffins together with a range of race suits and helmets.

Head of the Silverstone Cemetery Services Mr Lurch said 'we have had a number of burial requests at the circuit and thought why not expand on this and offer a true experience that will last in everyone's memory forever' he continued 'the cemetery will be in the dead centre of the circuit  but spaces are very limited, so anyone interested in reserving a plot had better get a move on'.

There are no prices released as yet, more information can be found at Silverstone Cemetery Services. Mr Lurch stated that the allocated ground has been nicknamed 'Silverbone' and the request for information so far has been amazing. It just goes to prove that people are dying to find out more.

Some people are buried at Goodwood's circuit cemetary, including Bruce McLaren.

I particularly like the name of the head of Silverstone's latest facility.
