He would have relished the battle between his two teams.

Micheal Schumacher was the first thing I knew about F1, and certainly it was his racing that got me hooked into it. I remember all the prayers, all the frustration when Ferrari was in its rebuilding era of Pre-2000, and it was Micheal Schumacher's performances that inspired me to be a Ferrari fan. So when I started this topic, it was with a heavy heart, and certain anxiety, both of which have not lessened a bit. It is something difficult for me to fathom that his family had to go through this turmoil after withstanding many years of wait due to his hectic racing schedule.

Schumacher's longtime spokesperson Sabine Kehm had this to say:

I see her point & agree. While most F1 fans wonder about his condition, his wishes, and those of his family, must and should come first.

I'm just glad that I had the chance to see him race in person.

I'm of two minds.  The Schumachers' fortune was created by his life as a celebrity, and certainly part of being a celebrity involves giving up an expectation to complete privacy.  While Schumacher's driving is why we cared for him, his entire story as a human being is what made us follow him, and made him worth so much money.

Still, this isn't a question of who he's dating, and ideally I'd like to see that people always reserve the right to withdraw from 'public life' at any time, no matter what they were famous for.
