Actually, my point in starting this thread was to say that you CAN ban alcohol ads, but not necessarily that you should.  I do know that there are certain sponsors, McD's & Coke included that won't associate with alcohol or tobacco advertising, so if you ever want the money they are putting into media campaigns, then F1 needs to think about that.

Coke & Clownburger are both heavily involved with NASCAR sponsorship. So are several beer & hard liquor companies.
