Horner claims Renault criticism was justified.
« on: December 18, 2015, 11:04:18 AM »
Of course there are two sides to every story and this is just the bully's side.  Horner and Marko may not have been out of line with the basis of their criticism, but they certainly were with their methods.  IMO RBR is lucky to have an engine for 2016.  And I wish them good luck in 2017.  Sorry the Daniel's were embarrassingly caught up in it all.  At least Ricciardo spent some of each interview trying to be passive about things and explain that there are two sides to the argument.

I agree Scott, the manner in which Horner kept appearing on BBC television to criticise Renault so strongly was very unwise.  It almost came back to bite the team very hard, and they are lucky to have an engine for 2016.  It's also worth noting that Red Bull's chassis this year wasn't quite as good as those produced in previous seasons this decade, so Horner ought to have chosen his words more carefully.

Horner did himself and the team a great dis-service with his constant public whining over it.  He came across as a spoiled brat.

It is very sad that their drivers were somewhat in the middle of what should have all been handled behind closed doors, and which really didn't involve them.
Life is short - live each day to the fullest.
