New Ferrari F1 livery - cues & plenty white paint from 70s
« on: February 14, 2016, 12:20:07 PM »
says Italian paper La Repubblica. Pic, see link.

Not sure I really like it, but it's different anyway - if this is really the new colour scheme. Guess we'll all find out on Friday.

In case, like me, your not familiar with Italian this is the literal translation of their article:-

White style Lauda: Ferrari for the World Cup back to his legend

The drafts of the single-seater built to beat Mercedes, Ferrari is inspired by the historical 312T put on track in 1975. The new car will be unveiled to the world next February 19.

It looks good in the drawings. Of course anything F1 looks good this deep into the off season.  ;)

Like it a lot, wonder if it will make the grid like that.

I wonder if it wasn't purposely leaked to get a bit of public reaction, especially from their beloved Tifosi.  If they are screaming angry about it, expect the standard red, maybe with a few extra flecks of white.

So it's official...when I look at it again, I wonder if Phillip Morris didn't insist on the engine cover change to highlight the Marlboro logo a bit better.  The red triangle blended in with the car too much before.  Now we can more clearly see the smokers reference.

The LaudaFerrari had a little green in it too.I always
liked the whole blood red car from the 60's.

I always preferred the pre-1997 deeper scarlet red than the more orange/red mixture that they've used since then.  The white is rather distracting in my view and does not enhance the livery at all.
